At the end of 2022, for the first time, Georgii Cherkin undertakes his greatest challenge – his own piano concerto with an orchestra, allowing him to fully explore his musical ideas. In the creative process, improvisation plays a significant role, helping him gain clarity about the overall sound of the composition. Originally called “Galactic Concerto”, Georgi Cherkin later changed the name to “GALACTIC FANTASY”. FANTASY more accurately describes his musical composition, possessing rich emotional depth, musicality, and unique creativity.
In the “Galactic Fantasy,” classical music merges with innovative technologies. Through the use of 3D mapping, Georgi Cherkin creates a visual backdrop synchronized with the music, engaging the senses and the overall perception of the music. Visual representations of galaxies and constellations move in rhythm with the music, and the concert itself is designed to be an experience unlike any other in a concert hall.
The use of 3D mapping technology creates new realms of experience for the audience. The perception of the music becomes different, sensitive, and enchanting. The audience is no longer just listeners; they become integral elements of the music.
The immersion and timelessness are so profound that it leaves a sense of weightlessness, allowing the past, present, and future to blend. With his “Galactic Fantasy,” Georgi Cherkin reshapes expectations for the world of music and its presentation. Boldly, we can call it innovative and forward-looking.
